• Current college student in the Lexington area (communications, marketing, digital media, journalism, nonprofit studies or similar)

• Comfortable with Instagram & short-form video

• Some Canva experience (or eager to learn quickly)

• Writes clearly & cares about telling people's stories with dignity

• Creative & innovative

• Reliable, self-directed & good at meeting deadlines

• How to plan & run social media for a real organization

• How to create engaging content (hooks, trends, brand integrity, etc.)

• Nonprofit marketing & storytelling

• How to use a project management software (ClickUp)

• How an international nonprofit operates (team communication, content creation, newsletter curation, donor relations & more)

• Cultural diversity + everyday life beyond the U.S.

• How so little can go so far if used in the right way

• Letter of Recommendation upon internship completion

• Village Reach Swag Bag (t-shirt, bracelet, sticky notes, stickers, etc.)

• Direct contact with our dreamers around the world (Cambodia, India, Colombia, Liberia)

• Canva Pro subscription for the duration of the internship

• Be part of our spring fundraising gala, with paid expenses for the event

• Paid expenses to our Village Reach weekend retreat (Pigeon Forge, TN; depending on internship term)
