Ask Forward Week is officially here, and we’re stepping into it with so much hope and excitement. This is the week we come together as a Village Reach family to give, invite, and watch God change lives with every act of generosity — large or small.
And today, we want to bring you right into the joy we experienced on our recent Dreamer Call with Melvin in Liberia. It was one of those moments that reminds you why we do what we do.
A Story That Lit Up the Whole Call
Just a few days ago, our team met with Melvin for our monthly Dreamer Meeting with him. Chase had also recently met with Melvin and a representative from the Liberia-based rental company that will be supplying us with drivers and mechanics, among other things to support the new venture. The energy was high as we talked about the business plan and how to best prepare the final contract with the rental company. Now we’re getting ready for one of the most exciting steps of this entire project:
We will be purchasing an American school bus here and shipping it all the way to Liberia! This will be the very bus that makes Melvin’s feeding program possible.

Melvin shared how he’s preparing to receive the bus when it arrives in Liberia and he went into detail, based on his thorough business plan, on how he will steer this business to success.
Then we got to talking about a special detail, what to name the business!
Here are the three names he’s considering:
The Dream Bus
Green Light Grace Bus Company
Feed the Future Transit
